Video: Examples

Here is a "No Future Left Behind," a video created by Peggy Sheehy's middle school students for a keynote address she was asked to give at the Net Generation Education Project. Rather than create the address herself, she got the idea of having her students create it. What a great way to give students voice! Click here to read her description of the process of guiding her students through the making of the video.
Another prize-winning student video about the educational uses of technology.

Here is a joint project that was done around the issues of teen girls. It was produced in a year-long workshop with girls aged 14-17, using the media to explore their own lives and the world around them. In their own voices, the girls cover topics such as violence, stereotypes of women, sex, relationships, reputation and the future. Certainly a similar project could be undertaken in a classroom.
