Integrating technology into schools
An article at Edutopia sees the integration of technology into the classroom as a four-step process:
- Dabbling.
- Doing old things in old ways.
- Doing old things in new ways.
- Doing new things in new ways.
Which stage are you and your school?

1. Dabbling. 2. Doing
1. Dabbling.
2. Doing old things in old ways.
3. Doing old things in new ways.
4. Doing new things in new ways.
OK, I'm almost 65 and I've taught for 38 years. After this year 38 1/2 years. I have always loved doing new things....always. Certainly, I did old things in new ways until now when I'm trying new things in new ways but I feel like I'm still dabbling. Is this a cycle???
My school is doing old things in new ways but are dabbling in new things in new ways. Dabbling infers a slow pace. I don't see how we can go much faster.
