Response to Text

So far so good.... After splitting off a group from the class it has been easier to plan and make progress. Again, thank to Mary Jane for allowing me to have this wonderful opportunity to work with her kids.

As noted previously, we are writing a response to Diamond Willow. I was impressed with their initial thoughts written after the first assignment. Next we looked over the rubric for Response to Text and referred to the benchmark which exceeds the standard. The next assignment was to 'hook' the reader and to set the purpose with a clear focus. Again, I was impressed with their efforts.

Next, we'll look back at this opening paragraph and also focus on comments from peers. Does the comment advance the writing? etc.

Mrs. Poirot's class Response to Text

 After reading over the framework for the class it seemed that I should begin a wiki to focus on a new assignment which will be to write a Response to Text using the Vermont Standards. This is also a new beginning of sorts.
